Fired Equipment Inspection

Our experienced specialists will perform process fired heater inspection, burners inspection, boilers inspection, air preheater-fans-dampers -sootblowers inspection etc.

Our inspection report will be comprehensive showing the evaluation of current status and our recommendations to improve their reliability and/or operability.

We can perform equipment inspection to asses its condition;

  • During maintenance, turnaround or short break and provide you necessary recommendations,
  • During operation, after any upsets in operation or  to verify its integrity, safe limits & performance, for any changes in operating conditions.

Our visual inspection is comprehensive which includes;

  • Tubes, fittings & supports for overheating & hot spot discoloration, bulging, bowing, excessive scaling, oxidation of tube metal etc. 
  • Overall status of fins and finned tubes conditions.
  • Refractory conditions in fire box, convection section, stack, ducts etc; for any large cracks or fall-out/missing refractory blocks.
  • Burner parts, fuel tips, burner tile conditions, pilot status etc.
  • Heater floor, sidewalls, end walls, burner tile and bridge walls for excessive warping, bulging, cracking or general deterioration.
  • Furnace external steel work for its integrity, corrosion, erosion, distortion etc.
  • Roof and radiant arch for proper drainage, if any.
  • Other accessories like FD/ID fans, air pre-heater, sootblower, dampers, SCR system etc.
  • Smoke bomb testing & witness, to identify leakage points.

Our inspection report will include our observation, deviations from standards/specifications and possible recommended short term and long term corrections/solutions.

On your behalf and at your behest, our experienced engineers can perform shop inspection of your new burners, fans, air preheater, tubes, supports, fittings, stack/duct dampers, sootblowers etc. at vendor’s site.  

Our inspection focus is to ensure that the equipment meets specification and order requirements, displays good workmanship, and is free of any significant damage or defects.

On your behalf and at your behest, our experienced engineers can perform incident inspection & investigation, after an upset in operating condition or incident. 

Our inspection focus will be to assess extent of deviation or damage and root cause of such upset incident, in fired heater.
